SREC purchases "Green Tag Certificates" (also known as Renewable Energy Certificates) which we market as "Green Energy". Purchasing "Green Energy" is a way for our members who wish to support the production of renewable energy and reduce the impact of their personal energy consumption.
To purchase "Green Energy", the SREC member can contact the office and request a "Green Energy Purchase Agreement" or download the Agreement below. The rate for "Green Energy" is .004 cents above the current SREC Residential kWhr rate. For the average SREC account usage of 1,000 kWhr's per month, the amount would be an additional $4.00 per month.
